We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-focused Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our clinic. This role involves a blend of administrative and clinical support responsibilities, ensuring high-quality care to patients and their families.

Work Schedule & Compensation:
- 32-40 hours per week.
- Monday-Friday
- Starting wage: $19/hour.
- Benefits eligibility after 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone, office emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Process and respond to incoming e-faxes and other communications in a timely manner.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals as necessary to coordinate patient care (e.g. referring physicians, subspecialists, allied health professionals, social workers, public health).
- Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and support them during clinical care as needed.
- Obtain and document patient measurements (e.g., height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure).
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as urinalysis screening and room preparation ("flipping" exam rooms).
- Stock and clean exam rooms, ensuring supplies are replenished and surfaces sanitized.
- Perform minor cleaning duties in the waiting area as necessary, such as wiping furniture during the day.
- Support overall office organization and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients and external agencies.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
- Sensitivity and compassion toward patient needs, with an understanding of cultural and gender inclusivity.
- Self-motivation, adaptability to change, and proactive mindset.
- Detail-oriented and able to remain calm in busy or stressful situations.
- Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment, including Microsoft and G Suite apps.
