Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling various meat products while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in food handling and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and wrap meat products according to company specifications and customer requests.
- Ensure all meat products are accurately labeled with pricing and nutritional information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area, adhering to strict sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding meat products and preparation methods.
- Be willing to learn how to cut whole fish
- Wrap seafood products
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or grocery setting.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
- Basic math skills for accurate pricing and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial for success in this role.
- Some meat/seafood cutting would be preferred
