Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Meat Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in food handling and preparation. As a Clerk you will be required to clean up the department at the end of the day/ shift with high level understanding of food safety standards. Stocking and helping customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all food items are handled in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering questions regarding meat products.
- Collaborate staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of meat .
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and report any shortages or quality issues.
Skills
- Proficient operations with a strong understanding of food handling practices.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in meat preparation and clean up
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Effective time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
