We are seeking a material testing technician for full time work to start soon.
Key Details of Material Testing Technician:
- Adhere to on-site specific safety policies
- Construction material testing of soil and concrete is the key focus of this position
- Field inspection and basic report writing
- Mainly Monday – Friday (8am to 5pm) but some weekend work may be required occasionally
- Other geotechnical engineering tasks will be introduced over time for candidates with desire to progress
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12
- Basic mathematic calculations
- Quick learner and able complete tasks safely and conscientiously
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and conduct other tasks such as shoveling
- Experience with Microsoft word and excel
- Effective communication with team members
- Able to work independently
- Experience in construction is preferred. However, we are willing to train a suitable candidate
- Must have own transportation to and from work
- Successful candidate will undergo a 3 month probationary period
