Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to understand production schedules and material requirements.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast future demand.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing carrying costs.
- Implement inventory control strategies to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and agreements with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues.
- Generate purchase orders based on demand forecasts and production schedules.
- Track and manage order status, expediting as necessary.
- Coordinate with receiving and production teams to ensure seamless material flow.
- Work closely with production teams to understand changes in production schedules.
- Anticipate and address any potential material shortages or delays.
- Run ERP, MRP on daily basis. Manage ERP data including but not limited to vendors, price lists, safety stock and reordering quantity and policies.
- Analyze data related to material usage, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Generate reports to provide insights into material planning metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in material planning and procurement.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations
- Follow all procedures in compliance of Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations.
- Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of procurement or supply chain experience with proven experience in material planning or a similar role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software, and ERP systems.
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Proactive and able to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Speaking Chinese (Mandarin) and able to communicate with overseas vendors at night if needed.
