Marketing Coordinator

Alternative Payments
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
Toronto, Ontario
Full time

The Role:

We’re seeking a driven, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to execute and scale campaigns that drive measurable growth. You’ll own the tactical execution of campaigns across paid, social, email, webinars, and blog, maintain the content calendar, document and improve SOPs, and coordinate assets and timelines across teams and vendors. The right candidate has 1–3 years in SaaS marketing (B2B fintech a plus), strong project management and writing skills, and a love for organized, repeatable processes. You’re comfortable in tools like social schedulers, email platforms, ad managers, and basic web CMS, and you use data to keep quality high and work on track.

This is a hybrid role in Toronto, with in-office 3 days per week, supporting brand consistency and revenue-driving initiatives across the Alternative Payments platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and publish paid ads, social media posts, email campaigns, blogs, webinars, and funnel campaigns according to the marketing calendar.

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for all marketing activities including paid ads, social media, email campaigns, webinars, blogs, collateral, website management, funnels, marketing strategy & calendar, and collaborator & network processes.

  • Organize marketing assets, calendars, and workflows across all channels including paid ads, social media, email campaigns, webinars, funnels, blogs, collateral, website, marketing strategy & calendar, and collaborator & network initiatives.

  • Review organic social media posts and blog content for brand consistency, accuracy, and engagement potential.

  • Generate creative content ideas for social media posts and blog topics aligned with marketing goals.

  • Coordinate with external vendors, designers, and agencies for collateral production.

  • Conduct outreach for blog content collaboration and social media partnership opportunities.

  • Take direction from senior team members and use SOPs to delegate tasks to teammates, ensuring execution is on-brand and on-time.

  • Maintain and update the marketing content calendar across paid, owned, and earned channels.

What you will Bring (Requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or related field.

  • SaaS marketing experience required, with B2B fintech experience strongly preferred.

  • Process-oriented mindset: ability to create and maintain detailed SOPs, organize complex workflows, and establish repeatable systems across multiple marketing channels.

  • Strong project management skills: demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple campaigns simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain quality standards under pressure.

  • Content creation expertise: proven ability to ideate engaging content for social media and blogs, with strong writing skills and understanding of audience engagement.

  • Technical proficiency: experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social), email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign), paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager), and basic website management.

  • Detail-oriented execution: track record of maintaining brand consistency, catching errors before publication, and ensuring all marketing materials meet quality standards.

  • Collaborative approach: ability to work effectively with external vendors, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and build relationships for content partnerships and outreach.

  • Data-driven mentality: comfortable tracking performance metrics, organizing campaign data, and providing insights on content performance and engagement rates.

  • Self-directed work style: ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and take ownership of day-to-day marketing operations without constant supervision.

  • Adaptability and growth mindset: willingness to learn new tools, adjust to changing priorities, and evolve processes as the company scale.

  • Strong communicator: knows when to ask questions, how to clarify direction, and how to respond with clear, solution-oriented updates.

  • Team coordination experience: demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with creative teammates (e.g., designers, copywriters) to deliver high-quality marketing assets on time.

Compensation:
