What is the opportunity?
As a member of the Strategy Enablement Team, the Manager, Employee Experience, RBC Innovation Hubs, will provide daily support to the Innovation Hubs across the country with a focus on the RBC Montreal Innovation Hub. In this role you will support the administrative and facilities management across the Hubs working on internal/external events, key real estate projects, vendor relationship management and communications.
What will you do?
Demonstrate resourcefulness and effectively identify and resolve problems; including dealing with ambiguity and proactively take ownership of activities and processes to ensure the Strategy Enablement and the Hub teams meet event or team deliverables.
Support the Hubs local and national communications strategies, drafting and publishing through national and local newsletters, blogs and the company intranet. Bilingual in French and English as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
Coordination and management of the premises, seating plans, expenses and other Hub requirements like health and safety and Business Continuity Planning. This will include management of building administration and vendor support.
Manage vendor relationships with JLL and WSS acting as central point of contact for our real estate teams, local landlords, property management company and individual department leads for access cards and site administration and management.
Co-create, lead, develop and deliver programs or events for employees at all levels across T&0 at the RBC Montreal Innovation Hub to support the growth and employee engagement/experience at the Hub. This will include the launch of national programs, i.e. Welcome to Tech@RBC, etc.
Manage development and delivery of events in-person and hybrid to broad audiences including event design, registration, coordinating AV requirements, catering, attendance, content development, décor, translation of required documents, communications, resources, budgeting, reporting, etc. This will include academic events such as hackathons, etc. to build early talent pipelines.
Build and manage workback schedules and plans for projects and effectively communicate facilities and real estate updates to senior leaders.
Logistics and local management: Manage generic inboxes / send emails to a broad audience in French and English, create and update content on RBC Connect sites, create and manage surveys, creation of documents for the team including meeting minutes, how to guides and succession planning documents.
Maintain and develop relationships with external partners to deliver impactful events that support the national and local RBC Innovation Hub Strategy, including recruitment and development of early talent pipelines. Build awareness of the Tech@RBC brand in the local market place, identifying RBC as an ideal destination for top tech talent.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
Ability to effectively navigate internal systems and technology, including strong Excel skills and MS Planning (or other Project Management software like Jira)
Effective and proactive real estate problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Ability to assess appropriate strategies, recommend decisions and ensure the best solutions are put into place
Nice-to-have
Experience within facilities management or support
