Position Summary
The Manager of Community Operations plays a key leadership role at Muskoka Seniors, driving the systems and strategies that keep our office, programs, communications, and community partnerships running smoothly. This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone who brings both organizational excellence and creative problem-solving to the table. You’ll oversee daily office operations, manage our volunteer program, lead marketing initiatives, and support the Executive Director and Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, systems thinker, and relationship-builder who is passionate about enhancing services for seniors living independently at home.
What You’ll Do
As the Manager of Community Operations, you’ll lead the planning and execution of all operational activities that support Muskoka Seniors’ community-facing impact. From volunteer coordination to marketing logistics and stakeholder communications, you’ll ensure the systems, people, and processes behind our work are running smoothly and strategically. You’ll oversee daily office operations, manage volunteer engagement from recruitment to recognition, support high-quality communications and event coordination, and ensure the Executive Director can effectively represent the organization in the community. You’ll also support governance, reporting, and compliance functions, ensuring we operate with excellence and integrity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes—bringing structure, clarity, and creativity to every aspect of our outreach and operations.
What We’re Looking For
· Post-secondary education in management, communications, community relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· Minimum 3 years of experience in program coordination, operations, or management
· Demonstrated creativity in developing concepts, visuals, and content for campaigns, events, and social media that capture attention and drive engagement
· Proven ability to design and produce engaging marketing and communication materials (digital and print) that represent the organization and connect with target audiences
· Proven leadership skills, including staff and volunteer supervision
· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Excellence in Microsoft Office and media platforms
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Experience in budgeting and reporting an asset
· Comfortable using/learning volunteer management software (training provided)
· Valid Ontario driver’s license
· Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
· Occasional local travel, evening, or weekend work required (e.g., events, board meetings)
Work Schedule and Requirements
· Full-time: 5 days/week
· Occasional evenings or weekends for events or meetings

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
