General Purpose:
The Maintenance Scheduler plays a vital role in supporting plant reliability by coordinating all maintenance work activies using the enterprise asset management (EAM) system.
This role works closely with the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisors, and Operations to ensure all routine, corrective, and project-based maintenance tasks are scheduled, resourced, and executed effectively with minimal impact to production.
Key Activities include but are not limited to:
Activity A: Maintenance Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
- Align maintenance tasks with production priorities to minimize operational disruption.
- Schedule internal and external labor and ensure job plans are complete before execution.
- Support plant shutdowns and seasonal campaigns with detailed work timelines
Activity B: CMMS Work Order Management
Provide leadership to Maintenance team.
Assign work orders based on priority, labor, materials, and safety considerations.
Ensure completed work orders include accurate labor hours, material use, and feedback.
Maintain asset history and job plans in EAM system.
Activity C: Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate parts availability with Stores to prevent delays in work execution.
- Distribute and communicate the weekly maintenance schedule to Maintenance, Production, and Engineering.
- Liaise with vendors/contractors to schedule outsourced maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
Activity D: KPI Monitoring & Reporting
- Track schedule compliance, backlog, PM completion, and other maintenance KPIs.
- Generate weekly performance reports and dashboards for Maintenance Manager review.
- Analyze scheduling variances and recommend corrective actions.
Activity E: Administrative & Support Functions
- Support the Planner in job plan development and spare part standardization.
- Assist with capital project coordination and long-range maintenance planning.
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance records and documentation for audits and SOP compliance.

Minimum Qualifications (Education):
Certificate/Diploma/Degree.
- Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Understanding of tools and parts.
Previous Experience Required
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- 2-3 years of Maintenance scheduling
- Prior experience in pulp and paper industry is preferred.
Skills, Abilities & Equipment Operated:
- Strong knowledge of EAM (or equivalent CMMS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiar with preventive and predictive maintenance principles
