We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Log Haul/Loader Supervisor to oversee daily operations involving log hauling and loading activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of logging operations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate log haul and loader crews to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Manage loading activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, weight limits, and quality standards.
- Schedule trucks and maintain communication with drivers and contractors.
- Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational or personnel issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in log haul or loader operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of forestry equipment, loading techniques, and transportation regulations.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 preferred, if applicable).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to the forestry industry.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
