Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing the flow of information between drivers and customers while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule shipments efficiently to meet customer demands.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Roserocket for tracking shipments and managing logistics.
- Analyze shipping data to optimize routes and improve delivery times.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving processes.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including shipment details and driver assignments.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while handling inquiries from clients and drivers.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination within a 3PL environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clear instructions.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Roserocket is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding transportation logistics.
- Proficient typing skills for efficient data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within the supply chain industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
