Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality tempura, karaage, noodles and bento in a fast-paced kitchen. As cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious Japanese food while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare vegetables and tempura and bento according to recipes and established standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
- Experience in food preparation and meal assembly within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food handling and preparation.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.
