Skookum Revelstoke is looking for experienced, organized, hardworking and friendly team players to fill in our staff for the upcoming winter season!
We are offering several positions based on knowledge and passion for skiing and the outdoor industry. The ideal candidate would understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service and be self motivated to push our business and customer base to expand. We are fortunate enough to have a tight team of experienced individuals and are looking for more alike.
We offer flexible schedules which allow for some great skiing in the best mountains around. We try to give every staff member a fair amount of morning vs evening shifts as well as scheduled days off so you can get your fill of adrenaline on the hill. Part-time positions may be available. We expect everyone to put in hard hours through busy periods, and ski time is rewarded.
We are hiring for the following positions:
Lead Bootfitter
Experienced and trained bootfitter with a deeper understanding of bio-mechanics relating to skiing/ski boots.
Responsibilities:
- Fitting of ski boots; including punching, grinding, repairs, and custom footbeds
- Advanced custom modifications and problem solving
- Strive to provide quality advice to customers on sporting goods and equipment
- Keep the store and merchandise organized
- Work hand in hand with ski technicians and floor staff to provide fast and efficient service
Requirements:
- 3 or more seasons of full time bootfitting experience
- Good understanding of bio-mechanics relating to skiing/ski boots
- Experience building custom footbeds is a must
- General winter sports retail experience an asset
- Good knowledge of the skiing industry
