Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role requires excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee team members and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members on construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Perform framing, Insulation, drywall, mud & taping, tile laying, and other carpentry tasks as needed.
- Ensure that all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
- Estimate materials and labor costs for projects, providing accurate construction estimates.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials as required on job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in carpentry, including both rough and finished carpentry
- Experience in power tool and hand tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Valid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites.
