About the Opportunity
As a Green FX Crew Lead, you will be instrumental in overseeing and executing complex landscape construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will directly impact project success, team development, and client satisfaction. We are looking for an individual who is not only technically proficient but also a strong, authoritative leader with an unwavering commitment to safety and precision.
What You'll Do:
Your responsibilities will encompass both strategic oversight and direct execution, ensuring all projects meet our rigorous standards:
- Lead and Supervise: Provide directive leadership to a dedicated crew, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and company policies.
- Project Execution: Expertly perform and oversee a wide range of landscape construction tasks, including:
- Sod and planting installations
- Interlock paving and retaining wall construction
- Armour stone installations
- Deck and fence building
- Precise grading and material handling
- Seasonal snow clearing and anti-icing operations
- Equipment Mastery: Safely and proficiently operate and maintain various vehicles and heavy equipment, including trucks, trailers, excavators, and skid steers.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict safety protocols and uphold the highest standards of workmanship on every job site. Proactively identify and address any issues, reporting potential challenges to management promptly.
- Team Development: Train, mentor, and foster the professional growth of crew members, optimizing their efficiency and technical skills.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately collect and report on site data, work progress, equipment conditions, and team dynamics. Contribute to equipment management through research and informed recommendations.

- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and direct a crew effectively, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to established standards.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience and specialized knowledge in various landscape construction techniques and equipment operation.
- Detail-Oriented & Methodical: A conscientious and thorough approach to work, with a strong concern for accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Accountability & Initiative: Proactive in problem-solving, capable of authoritative and quick decision-making within your scope of control, and driven to achieve exceptional results.
- Commitment to Standards: Upholds company-wide standards for safety, quality, efficiency, responsible equipment use, professional communication, and strict adherence to schedules and policies (including demanding winter availability and sobriety policies).
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Full G-Class Driver's License is required, with proven ability to tow and operate trailers and various landscaping equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding outdoor labor in diverse weather conditions.
- Availability: Ability to work Monday - Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with on-call availability during winter months as needed.
