Landscape Construction Crew Member
About The Role:
Genuine Earthworks is looking for a driven and experienced Landscape Design/Build Crew Member to work full-time hours. This role has the opportunity to continue into the winter months and transition into a snow removal position as well.
Overview of Responsibilities/what we are looking for
- Working on site with 1-4 other people (one is the construction crew lead or foreperson)
- Wearing Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Operate all equipment required for the job - many of our jobs are complete tear outs, re grade and full install of new landscaping from walls to patios, sod and planting.
- Ensuring proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools
- 3-5 years of experience in landscaping construction setting.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work some evenings and weekends if needed to beat incoming bad weather.
- Physically fit - this is a very physically demanding position, lifting, bending etc
- Be capable of working independently with little supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality completion
- Ability to understand and read elevations (building walls, patios, etc.) and drainage on projects
- Responsibility to report and record safety incidents and near misses
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with recent 3 years Clean Drivers Abstract, and continuous insurance for 3 years as a named driver (or can provide an letter of experience from previous employer to fill in any gaps in personal coverage)
- Knowledge and skillset to install hardscapes such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, fences etc.
- Knowledge and skillset to install softscapes such as basework, planting, sodding, etc
- Advanced Bobcat experience in a commercial landscaping setting is a must
What your day would look like as a member of our team:
- You show up wearing the proper gear and ready for the day ahead with a positive attitude to our yard which is centrally located in Manchester Industrial and meet up with your crew for the day or if previously planned meet directly onsite for the day.
- You have your phone (which we pay you an extra $20 allowance every pay for) so you can see where you are going, and who you are working with and get updates throughout the day as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
