Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Construction Survey Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting construction layout, collecting as-builts, collecting data, and assisting in the preparation of survey documents. The Survey Technician will report to the Survey manager, and work closely with site Formen and Project Managers to ensure accurate and efficient survey execution.
Duties
- Conduct land surveys using GPS technology and total stations.
- Collect data for topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Use software such as Trimble Business Centre, Leica Captivate, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities prior to construction.
- Analyze collected data for accuracy and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Assist with importing machine control files on job sites.
Experience
Driver's license and Criminal Record check, as well as proficiency in the English language are required. Survey Technician Certificate is an asset. Candidates should also have experience with construction processes and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Experience working as a Construction Surveyor is considered an asset. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are critical for success in this role. Compensation will be reflective of employee education and experience in the field.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 54 per week
