Job Summary: We are seeking a curious and motivated Jr. Business Analyst to join our IT & Business Systems team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with strong analytical thinking and communication skills who are eager to learn and grow in areas such as SharePoint development, ERP (Syteline) enhancements, analytics, and cross-functional project support. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Support
- Learn and assist with Business System management and basic workflow creation.
- Support modifications by documenting requirements and testing changes.
- Shadow senior analysts and external partners, participate in training sessions to build foundational knowledge.
Systems Administration & Optimization
- Manage and optimize ERP, SharePoint, and related business systems, with an ability to quickly learn and master new tools as needed.
- Develop, configure, and automate workflows, leveraging platforms like SharePoint and other business process tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply scripting or development skills to build and customize solutions, integrate systems, and automate tasks.
Business Process Analysis & Improvement
- Conduct thorough analyses of business processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, streamline workflows, and apply AI-driven approaches where appropriate.
- Continuously research and evaluate new tools and technologies that could further improve business processes and system capabilities.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards, transforming data into actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize data visualization and analysis techniques to present information clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Automate data gathering and reporting processes, ensuring stakeholders receive timely updates with minimal manual intervention.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate projects related to system improvements, process optimization, and tool implementation, from planning through to completion.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand needs, provide training, and support project goals.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
Technology Integration & Continuous Learning
- Work with internal teams and vendors to integrate various business systems and ensure data flow and interoperability.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices, with an eagerness to explore and learn new systems that could benefit the organization.
- Apply scripting, development, or low-code skills to create customized solutions that enhance system functionality and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent interest/aptitude).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to team success.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to SharePoint or ERP systems is a plus but not required.
- Interest in data analysis and visualization.
- Ability to work independently and ask questions when needed.
- Experience in project coordination and working with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for exploring new technologies, particularly AI and automation, with a focus on applying them to optimize business processes.
Working Conditions:
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to other sites. The position requires the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across departments in a dynamic environment. Note, due to the nature of this role, work outside regular hours is required.
