About the Role

As the Manager, Digital Innovation and Development, you will lead the unit that is responsible for creating the next generation of health and safety products and services for CCOHS.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Services, you’ll support the Digital Services team to advance technological innovation and develop strategic partnerships with CCOHS product owners. By committing to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices and DevOps framework for continuous improvement, you will properly manage resources, and support planning and collaboration across CCOHS.

You will play a key role in aligning CCOHS business needs with modern digital strategies by providing informed recommendations on technical direction to the Director, Digital Services, on emerging technologies and industry best practices. This includes ensuring strategic decisions advance CCOHS’ technological stacks, architectural patterns, toolsets and technical standards.

Utilizing your managerial skills, you will ensure that the service unit work and plans are consistent with strategic plans and fulfilled according to the allocated resources and revenue targets, goals, key performance indicators and priorities. You will be responsible for the human resource management of staff in the service unit including hiring, performance management, training and development, health and safety, and employee relations.

Salary: Within the range of $112,664 - $145,055 (CCOHS-13) per annum.

Type: Full-time, temporary and excluded position. This position is a temporary contract with the potential to convert to permanent status within the year.
