Metro Vancouver Transit Police ("Transit Police") is the leader in regional public transit policing, operating across 22 communities. It provides policing services to all modes of transit: Bus, SeaBus, SkyTrain, and West Coast Express. In partnership with cross-regional partners, Transit Police prevents crime and provides coordinated police services to transit users throughout the region. Responsibilities
The IT Infrastructure Analyst -TSML is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of on- and off-premise data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, electronic messaging, virtualization, cloud-based services, remote systems hosting, infrastructure process automation, data backup and archival systems and processes, systems management software, and related products. Provides technical support and maximizes operational efficiency for data center infrastructure. Performs the role of technical lead for data centre infrastructure projects. Monitors and maintains data centre infrastructure performance and capacity. Coordinates Change Management for the infrastructure and supporting applications. Provides resolution support for all escalated data centre infrastructure related operational issues and service requests. Provides expertise and assistance to IT staff concerning data centre infrastructure requirements.
Qualifications
Requires a diploma in computer science or related discipline from a recognized institute of technology, specializing in data centre infrastructure. Requires 3.5 years previous experience in an information systems environment involving data center infrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise. A further period of six (6) months on the job is required to become thoroughly familiar with TSML's architecture plan, IT policies and standards and its specific infrastructure components

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

37.5 hours per week.

Rate of Pay
Group: 11
Salary: $8,236 - $9,897 per month
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Conditions of Employment
