Reports to: Group Inventory Leader
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of a forklift, Raymond Reach (Counterbalance and Narrow Aisle Reach license required).
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory cycle counts for customer; ensure inventory accuracy; and provide weekly reports to management.
- Execute FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and slotting practices to optimize warehouse operations
- Oversee pallet rotation and proper stock placement
- Use scanning devices for tracking, receiving, and dispatching inventory
- Maintain product identification and location traceability.
- Research inventory discrepancies and problems; non-conforming products and ingredients; and damaged product to be reconciled in a timely manner and provide a report.
- Responsible for completing physical inventories/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
- Exposure to occasional cold temperature extremes while performing counts in a walk-in cooler (0- 4°C) and/or freezer (below -18°C).
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety, HACCP & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- Valid forklift license required
- College degree related to supply chain or business or three years of work experience in inventory control is an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- An ambitious self-starter with strong desire to grow professionally
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
