Hydraulic Pipefitter – Travel to US (Must Have Canadian Passport)
Position Overview:
Bar Hydraulics Inc. is a leading global supplier and installer of non-welded hydraulic piping systems, specializing in hydraulic, grease, and lubrication piping systems for the industrial and construction sectors. We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Pipefitter with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings, determining pipe specifications, and planning the most efficient installation layouts. You will use specialized tools to cut, bend, and join pipes, ensuring the safe and smooth flow of high-pressure substances in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze engineering drawings to determine pipe specifications and plan installation layouts.
- Use tools such as saws, pipe benders, and threaders to cut, bend, and thread pipes accurately.
- Secure pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and fine-tune hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Select pipe sizes, materials, and types according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring proper care of tools and equipment.
- Modify and maintain pipe systems and related machinery to meet specifications and standards.
- Adhere to health & safety regulations as outlined in the Bar Hydraulics Health & Safety Manual and Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Ensure timely and consistent attendance, meeting all work schedule expectations.
- Perform other duties as required to support team goals and project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Canadian passport and the ability to travel to the US for 5 weeks on and 1 week off for project work.
- Pass a hair follicle drug test (including marijuana)
- 5-7 years of experience in hydraulic pipefitting or a similar role.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (an asset)
- Formal apprenticeship and technical training from an accredited Canadian college (preferred, but not required).
- Proven experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic system drawings.
- Skilled in pipe bending, cutting, and threading using specialized equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control in industrial environments.
- Familiarity with Press Building/Equipment and parts is a valuable asset.
- Proficient in using measuring tools and applying mathematical principles for precision work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Work Conditions:
- Full-time, 50-60 hours per week.

- Plant environment with potential exposure to loud noise and extreme temperature conditions, including both cold and hot climates, depending on the location of the project.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
