Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Pipefitter Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing and HVAC industries while developing essential skills in fabrication and welding.
Duties
- Assist in the installation of piping systems for various applications, including HVAC and plumbing.
- Help maintain and repair existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and basic math skills to measure and cut pipes accurately.
- Fabricate pipe fittings and components as directed by lead pipefitters.
- Support welding activities by preparing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in all tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in pipefitting tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions from experienced pipefitters.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute positively to the work environment.
- Previous experience in fabrication or welding is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
