Job Description
CEDA is currently looking for Apprentice Welders and Labourers to join our team for an upcoming pipeline project in the Bonnyville, AB area, applicants must be local to the area.
If you’re an apprentice welder looking to gain valuable field experience, or a motivated labourer eager to contribute to a major project, we want to hear from you!
What We Offer:
- Apprentice Rates: 1st Year - $28, 2nd Year - $33, 3rd Year - $38
- Labourer Rate: $27 to $30, depending on experience

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Apprentice Welders:
- Assist Journeyman Welders in the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipeline systems.
- Help prepare materials and equipment for welding operations.
- Learn and apply welding techniques to ensure safe and high-quality work.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Labourers:
- Support the welding and pipefitting teams in daily tasks.
- Assist with the preparation of the job site, including equipment and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform general labour duties, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials as required.
- Operate basic machinery and tools, and assist in pipeline installation tasks.
Qualifications:
For Apprentice Welders:
- Registered Apprentice in Welding (any year)
- Valid safety certifications: CSTS 2020, H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Previous experience in pipeline projects is an asset
For Labourers:
- Prior experience in construction or industrial environments working with welders
- Valid safety certifications: CSTS 2020 & H2S Alive
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of workplace hazards
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
