Summary
We are seeking a Carpenter Apprentice to join our team at Maplewood Design Build. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in carpentry while working on diverse skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced carpenters in various tasks related to construction and renovation projects.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Help with the installation of framing and decking.
- Participate in the preparation of materials and tools needed for each project.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Gain hands-on experience with carpentry techniques and tools under supervision.
Requirements
- A strong desire to learn and develop carpentry skills.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is an asset but not mandatory.
