Position: Permanent Full Time Human Resources Generalist
Location: Administration Office, 550 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London
Schedule: 40 hours per week; working hours between the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Start Date: Immediately
Compensation: Starting salary at $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience, comprehensive benefit package including; RSP Employee-Employer match, Vacation and Personal Time Entitlements, and Employee Assistance Program

London Bridge Child Care Services is a non-profit umbrella organization comprised of 19 licensed child care centres, and 8 Before and After School programs in London, Sarnia, Dorchester, and Huron County. We provide loving, individualized care and education for children ages 0-12 years in group care settings. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. In your role as an Human Resources Generalist with London Bridge you will be part a four person team supporting various HR functions, with an emphasis on striving for positive employee experience. The various responsibilities supports day-to-day HR operations, providing services across employee relations, compliance, performance management, recruitment and onboarding.
This job description outlines the expectations and responsibilities for the Human Resources Generalist. It is intended to be used as a general guide. However, this role may change based on needs of the HR Department and organization. The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Director.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
· Support onboarding, orientation, and integration of new hires.
· Administer HR programs including leave management, and training.
· Employee relations; serves as the first point of contact on the HR team for employee inquiries, concerns and resolving conflicts.
· Determines when workplace investigation processes are required and conducts the investigations.
· Serves as main point of contract and supports employee group through immigration process
· Ensure compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.
· Maintain and update employee records in HR and payroll systems as needed
· Track and report HR metrics, including turnover, terminations, and other key data
· Coordinate employee wellness initiatives.
· Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes by analyzing current systems and recommending enhancements to increase efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
· Support employee engagement and retention initiatives, including surveys and feedback sessions
· Ensure employees are informed of and comply with organizational policies
About You:
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration with HR specialization
· CHRP designation preferred or working towards with the HRPA
· Minimum of two years experience working in an HR capacity
· Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
· Ability to work independently, as well as within a team setting
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
· Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
· Training and experience in employee relations and workplace investigations is considered to be an asset
· Demonstrates flexibility and open to adapting based on team and organizational needs
· Strong knowledge and understanding of labour laws (ESA, Human Rights), and compliance as asset
· Curious, reflective, and eager for ongoing professional growth
· Vulnerable Sectors Check
· Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (WSIB approved)
