As our 3D Generalist, you will:
- Under the direction of the BIM Manager, lead creation and modifications of a library of 3D models and product families for our company’s database
- Communicate regularly with BIM Coordinator
- Work with other departments to produce renderings on a per project basis and modify existing projects
- Troubleshoot modeling, rendering and other visual errors
- Prepare mechanical and architectural product specifications in the form of Revit or CAD files, design development, outline and design-build specifications for commercial projects across North America.
- Implement established BIM standards and modeling best practices
As our 3D Generalist, you must have:
- College Diploma or University Degree in related field
- Must have strong understanding of 3D renderings and workflows
- Excellent 3D animation skills including use of cameras, lighting, modelling, materials, and texturing
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including AfterEffects and Photoshop; with very good skills using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, 3DS Max
- Excellent 2D motion graphics and graphic design skills
- Strong creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with excellent fluency in English
- A strong understanding of render farms
Nice to have:
- Familiar with Building Codes
- Scripting knowledge
- Interior design or architecture knowledge
