Pro Edge Management. is presently seeking to add a highly motivated individual for a Housing Administrator position to join our growing family. Housing Administrators will work along side the Property Manager while providing administrative and maintenance support enabling our Executive Team to achieve/exceed the goals and key performance indicator targets of our company and our client.

Job description
As a member our on site(s) management team, the key responsibilities of a Housing Administrator include but are not limited to:
- Office administration and maintenance support
- Answering and responding to phone calls and emails accordingly
- Housing charge Collection and Arrears Management – including RGI calculations (when applicable), preparing and mailing rent notices, entry of rental & other payments into the Housing Provider’s accounting software, serving all legal notices in relation to non-payment of rent and other related issues under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and Housing Services Act (HSA)
- Professionally and courteously handle inquiries from prospective/current residents
- Monthly bank deposits
- Data entry of all A/R and A/P
- Preparation of payables to be signed weekly or as need basis
- Work Order Processing and Maintenance Personagement – distributing work orders to superintendents (if applicable) , receiving and updating work orders on a daily basis in a designated tracking system; scheduling and follow up of contractor work on an as needed basis
- Management of vacant units- processing Notices to Vacate, Acknowledgement to tenants, scheduling inspections, creating work orders for unit preparation by superintendents/contractors. Processing/updating tenant files
- Tenant File Administration – processing parking registration, transfer applications, mailing, filing
- Utilizing Company and client computer software – Yardi, NewViews, HMWorx
- Providing various daily, weekly and monthly reporting as needed
Desired Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:
- 2 or more years' experience in co-op and non-profit housing and knowledge of property administrative and maintenance practices
- Knowledge of various legislation, including the RTA (Resident Tenancies Act), HSA (Housing Services Act)
- Experience working in the Non-Profit / Subsidized housing sector
- Experience in completing various RGI (Rent Geared to Income) calculations is a strong asset
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge and experience of LTB proceedings as it relates to the process of serving Notices relating to non-rental payments, anti-social behavior, illegal activity, etc.
- Strong customer service orientation and delivery
- Ability to respond and express ideas clearly in written and oral communication
- Experience utilizing Yardi/Newviews or similar financial software
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity
