Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Meat Saw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating powered saws to portion meat and poultry products according to company specifications, ensuring product quality, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate electric or band saws to cut meat into steaks, chops, or other portions.
- Read and interpret production orders to determine product specifications.
- Ensure accurate portion control and weight consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of saw equipment and work areas.
- Inspect meat for quality, freshness, and proper handling.
- Follow all food safety, OSHA, and HACCP regulations.
- Sharpen and maintain saw blades and cutting tools as needed.
- Properly store and label all meat cuts and trimmings.
- Assist with general butchery or meat packaging tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating meat saws or working in a meat processing environment is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of meat cuts, weights, and portion control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of and commitment to food safety standards.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Work Environment:
- Cold storage or refrigerated environment.
- Exposure to raw meat and cutting equipment.
- Use of protective gear (e.g., gloves, aprons, hearing protection).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:
