Job Title: High School Afterschool Tutor / Teacher
Location: Richmond, BC
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: 25+/hr
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 4:00 PM to 6:00PM （minimum 3 days per week）
Maple Hill International Education in Richmond is dedicated to delivering high-quality academic support for high school students. Currently we are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as High School Subject Tutors in calculus (Calculus 12, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC) and physics (Physics 11, Physics 12, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2). The salary is determined based on your tutoring experience and whether you are a BC-certified teacher.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for high school students in the specified subjects.
- Assist students in understanding and mastering the core concepts of the subject matter.
- Develop personalized lesson plans and study strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Provide guidance and support to help students improve their academic performance.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting tutoring methods as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with students and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of BC high school curriculum and Proficiency in teaching subject
- Currently studying or graduating from a related field at the university level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to motivate and engage students.
- Above 18 years of age.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
