Position Summary:
The HSE Administrator reports to the HSE Program Manager. He/she is responsible for the data entry and reconciliation of all environmental, health and safety programs to ensure they are consistently documented, standardized and organized throughout all departments and all branch locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, editing and creating various Microsoft Word and Foxit documents such as but not limited to:
Safety Manuals
Security Management Plans
Task Hazard Assessments (THA)
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Fillable Forms
Safety Bulletins
- Knowledge of GeoTab to organise fleet information, enter preventative maintenance for the fleets and creating maintenance reminders.
- Updating information on Avetta, ISNetworld, ComplyWorks and 8am Solutions
- Assistance in creating agendas for various joint health and safety committees within the business units
- Researching various safety topics for discussions
- Pulling Carrier Profiles monthly to ensure there aren’t infractions
- Reviewing and organizing past and present audit documentation whether for an ARC audit or a COR audit to formulate different corrections or documentation for the HSE Program Manager to approve
- Knowledge of the safety compliance site of Workhub is considered an asset. This would entail adding of new assets, creating or modifying inspections, adding new workers, reviewing form submissions within Workhub, creating inspections and competencies with approval of the HSE Program Manager, and providing instruction to the various business unit’s employees as to how to utilize Workhub.
- All other tasks as directed by HSE Program Manager.
Job Requirements:
· Valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract.
· First Aid Level C CPR & AED.
· Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Familiarization with diagram-based programs such as Visio.
· Competency with creation of fillable pdf files.
Education Requirements:
· Health and Safety Administrator Designation (HSA) or relevant experience.
· Safety Program Development Course – ESC.
· NSC Familiarity would be an asset
Job Type: Full-time
