We are currently seeking only qualified applicants with previous tree service or landscape experience to fill a full-time (35-40 hours per week) permanent Grounds person position, Mon-Fri. We work all year round in all weather conditions.
We are looking for experienced self motivated, forward thinking individuals who can work individually and as part of a team.
Wage to be determined, based on experience.
MUST have a Valid BC drivers’ license and provide a driver abstract. We are located in a rural area in Chilliwack with no bus access.
MUST have previous experience working in the Tree Care or Landscaping industry.
General Duties and Requirements:
Operate and maintain the chippers
Assist with Driving, Backing, Dumping and Parking duties
Raking and general clean up
Rigging/ Running rope
Running Chain Saws, Blowers, Hedge trimmers, Pole Saws etc.
Keeping up with regular maintenance
Fueling saws and vehicles
Equipment Inspection
Work zone safety
Responsible for carrying out other duties asked of you by your Foreman
Requisite Skills:
Experience with manual transmissions
Ability to lift heavy weight/ perform strenuous manual labor
Must be able to listen and interpret instructions well
Always demonstrates High Safety standards.
Must be able to prioritize duties.
Must be accountable
Punctuality and Professionalism always required.
Assets:
First Aid Certificate
ISA Certificate
Air Endorsement with Class 3 license
Industry related certificates
