We are currently seeking qualified subcontractor companies with experience in both ground disturbance and aerial work to support a major telecommunications deployment in Kamloops and surrounding areas.
This is a 1-year subcontract opportunity with potential for long-term collaboration based on performance.
Scope of Work Includes:
- Ground disturbance and civil work (trenching, excavation, conduit placement)
- Aerial infrastructure work (strand, lash, drop cable placement)
- Fibre optic cable routing and support
- Utility locates coordination (BC 1 Call compliance)
- Site restoration and basic traffic control
Requirements:
- Proven experience with:
- Utility trenching and ground disturbance
- Aerial fibre/cable installation
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level II certification
- Bucket truck(s) and qualified aerial crews
- Active WorkSafeBC coverage
- Liability insurance (minimum $5 million)
- Familiarity with BC construction regulations and municipal permitting
- Strong safety culture and documentation (FLRAs, SWPs, etc.)
Assets:
- Previous experience in the Kamloops area
- Knowledge of local municipal standards and permitting processes
- Familiarity with FTTx/FTTH builds
- Flexible availability for emergency or short-notice work

Pay: $35,700.00-$211,830.60 per year
