Description

You are an experienced Aerial Lineperson responsible for the daily planning and execution of aerial fiber construction. You work from bucket trucks and are able to safely climb utility poles to ensure fiber cable is installed and secured according to engineering specifications and industry standards. Your ability to guide and support your immediate team helps drive construction success while maintaining essential Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate bucket trucks and man-lifts safely
  • Install strand and cable, including use of rollers, lashers, and pulling equipment
  • Perform pole transfers and grounding
  • Lead, train, and support field crews
  • Maintain accurate daily production and materials tracking
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct experience working as an Aerial Lineman
  • Valid DZ or higher driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience operating an RBD (Digger Derrick) truck to dig holes for poles, set poles, tow pole trailers, and install anchors
  • Proficient in using bucket trucks for aerial telecommunications line work
  • Skilled in utility pole climbing using spikes and rigging
  • Experienced in new build and pole transfers; strong knowledge in strand building, lashing, grounding, and transfer procedures
  • Solid understanding of construction practices and ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews, train new workers, and ensure safe work practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and resolve issues
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Work Conditions:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
  • Willing to travel as required
