Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of construction tasks, such as framing, painting, drywall installation, taping mudding, trim installation, demo etc
- Operate power tools. Ability to operate heavy machinery (Bobcat, excavator) is a strong asset.
- Perform physical labor such as lifting, carrying, and pushing heavy objects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Work under tight deadlines and in extreme weather conditions.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Job sites are all over the GTA, a car is required.
Candidates who are not currently in Canada or don't have a work permit will not be considered.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as construction worker
- Experience in operating equipment like trench skid steers, mini excavators, pneumatic hammers etc.
- Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.)
- Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
- Able to work in a team
- Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
- Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have Car
