The Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant, with bookkeeping as the primary focus. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day accounting, payroll, and supporting general administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping (Primary):
- Full-cycle bookkeeping: AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations
- Payroll preparation and coordination
- HST filings, monthly and year-end reporting
- Manage expense tracking and budgets
- Coordinate with external accountant for tax filings and financial statements
Administrative Support:
- Assist with office coordination, email follow-ups, and scheduling
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems
- Handle customer/vendor communication as needed
- Support the owner and team with ad hoc admin tasks
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping
- Proficient with QuickBooks (or similar), Excel, and cloud-based tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and discretion
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
