Position Summary:
We’re hiring a Freight Brokerage Sales Representative to identify and onboard new shipping clients, manage customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a strong drive to succeed in the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and secure new shippers through cold calls, email outreach, and networking.
- Generate freight quotes, negotiate rates, and close deals for FTL, LTL, and expedited shipments.
- Build long-term customer relationships by maintaining consistent and professional communication.
- Work closely with carrier reps/dispatch to cover freight and ensure on-time pick-up and delivery.
- Monitor freight in transit, handle issues proactively, and maintain client satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly sales targets and activity KPIs (calls, quotes, booked loads, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of all customer activity, load details, and communication in TMS/CRM.
- Stay updated on freight market trends and competitor pricing to drive strategic sales.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales (preferred).
- OR proven success in B2B sales with a willingness to learn the freight industry.
- Strong phone presence and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with TMS software and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) is a plus.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and highly self-motivated.
