GIO Railways is seeking 2 reliable individuals to fulfill the roles of railway flag person at a new project site located between London, ON and St. Thomas, ON.
Duties:
- Perform the duties of a railway flag person including setting up and removing flags and safely directing rail movements through an active worksite
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment
- Clean and maintain work areas
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid G class drivers license
- Previous experience as a railway flag person or similar role preferred.
- Pass a railway rules test
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work well in a team
