Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash and operate a Point of Sale (POS) system effectively. A passion for retail sales and technology products is a plus, as you will also assist with product demonstrations and upselling.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions securely.
- Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist with merchandising and restocking shelves as required.
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures throughout the shift.
Skills
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales, technology sales, or merchandising is preferred.
- Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.
