ACC have 3 feedlot locations within 15 minutes of Iron Springs and Picture Butte.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of feedlot operations. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and various other applications. Experience in an feedlot/agricultural setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of livestock, feed inventory, health treatments, drugs, vaccines, tags and horse records.
- Utilize software systems to track performance metrics, feed efficiency, and cattle health.
- Ensure adherence to local, provincial/state, and federal regulations related to animal welfare, shipping/receiving of cattle, environmental impact, and safety.
- Serve as a liaison between management, staff, and suppliers; coordinate logistics and scheduling for feed deliveries, drug supply and cattle movements.
- Prepare regular reports on feedlot performance, including animal weight gains and feed conversion rates.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new staff; promote best practices in animal husbandry and facility maintenance; liaise with HR/Office staff as necessary to support staff needs.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
- Proficiency working in Microsoft 365.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written communications.
- Comfortable working in a feedlot environment.
