Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ECG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting electrocardiograms (ECGs) to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients' heart conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.
Duties
As an ECG Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing electrocardiograms on patients as directed by physicians.
- Preparing patients for ECG tests by explaining the procedure and ensuring their comfort.
- Applying electrodes to the patient's skin accurately to obtain clear readings.
- Monitoring patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintaining and calibrating ECG equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Documenting and reporting test results accurately and promptly to healthcare providers.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures within the clinical setting.
- Conduct Holter monitoring setup and scanning.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- A solid understanding of medical terminology, particularly related to cardiology.
- Previous experience as an ECG Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
