Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators and Kitchen Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the holistic development of children from infancy through preschool. The Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with parents, staff, and the community to support the growth and well-being of each child.
Duties
- Experience with meal preparation for a large group.
- Knowledge about the Canada Food Guide.
- Must be tidy, neat, clean and have the ability to multitask.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and promote early childhood development.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment through behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, classroom activities, and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for young learners.
- Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to implement standardized testing practices when necessary while maintaining a supportive atmosphere.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support to students as needed.
- Understanding of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
