Primary Educator (Level 3) – Hillhurst Campus

Blüm Childcare Academy is a private early learning institution rooted in Montessori and Reggio Emilia, serving students (not just children) aged 12 months to 6 years. Our Hillhurst campus is growing, and we’re seeking a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator who sees this work not as a job, but as a calling.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Lead a classroom grounded in beauty, regulation, and predictability (not laminated sticker charts)
- Guide students through purposeful routines that prioritize independence, kindness, and rich learning
- Collaborate with fellow educators who dress like professionals and speak with intention
- Partner with leadership that deeply values your voice — not just your ratios
Requirements
- Alberta Level 3 Certification (non-negotiable)
- A heart for early learning, a voice that models calm, and a posture of respect
- Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio, or inquiry-based pedagogy preferred (or willingness to learn)

About the Hillhurst Campus
Located in Calgary’s inner-city core, Hillhurst is our flagship campus: warm, walkable, and beloved by students, families, and licensing alike. We partner with local artists and nonprofits, host seasonal events, and display student work at neighbourhood businesses.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
