We are a non-profit childcare organization, offering safe and loving childcare to the families of Fort Langley and surrounding communities since 1991. We provide a full day program for children ages 30 months to 5 years and before and after school care to children in K - 7 who attend either Fort Langley Elementary School or Langley Fine Arts School.
Fort Langley Child Care Society is seeking a Early Childhood Educator or Responsible Adult to assist the team in providing high quality care for the remainder of the summer. This temporary full time educator will create a safe and inviting environment, and foster a positive and caring learning environment for our children.
We have a large outdoor component to our program so the Educator will need to foster a love of the outdoors and be comfortable being outside in all types of weather.
Job Start Date: ASAP
Hours per Week: 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday (Monday thru Friday)
Salary per hour: $31.04 per hour for ECE Certified - $23.50 per hour for Responsible Adult
Qualifications Requirements:
- ECE License to practice preferred
- Responsible Adult Certification required
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and co-workers.
- Ability to program plan and set up positive environments for children
- Commitment to the childcare field and ongoing learning
- Ability to work independently and with team members
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
- Excellent communication skills
- Display creativity, flexibility , initiative , enthusiasm and sense of humor
- Current first aid/CPR
