Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatching Assistant to join our team to support during the after-hours and weekends . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the flow of information between our drivers, clients, custom brokers ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and proficiency in various administrative tasks.
Duties
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries from clients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate logistics for deliveries and pickups.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure all information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Utilize Avaal for record keeping and customs paperwork as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards with HOS and Safety regulation.
- Prepare and enter Orders, make trips and dispatch to drivers.
- Generate invoices and payment follow-up.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a trucking company is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in data entry and familiar with Avaal systems.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Experience with Samsara or similar software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
