Dispatch Scale Operator/Data Entry

We are currently looking for an, experienced and safety conscious Dispatch Scale Operator/Data Entry to work seasonally in a full-time capacity at our Acheson, AB asphalt plant. Responsibilities:
- Operate the main dispatch scale for various incoming and outgoing product
- Provide assistance to the dispatchers with documentation and other duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and scale house
- Notify operations of incoming special loads; direct or dispatch as necessary
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions within our Scale Software (WeightMate2000)
- Answer phones and texts when required
- Track inventory/tonnages for jobs as required
- Determine content of material entering facility to properly bill the customer
- Data entry and filing
- Minor office housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or high school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of Scale house experience in a construction company; Minimum 1 year of customer service experience is preferred
- Some administrative experience will be an asset
- Intermediate knowledge and some experience in using computer programs, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & Google Sheets)
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and must have access to a reliable vehicle to commute to the Acheson plant everyday
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends when required

- This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time
