Title:
Director, Engagement
Salary: $125,708 - $147,891 - $170,075 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term (6 months)
Hours: 9am-4pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Park Royal Office, West Vancouver located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations


About the role

As engagement director, you will provide senior leadership and expertise in the work of provincial engagement framework and strategy. You will provide direction and a provincial focus while working collaboratively with Regional Directors of Engagement in developing and implementing an organizational wide engagement strategy within the provincial framework. You will work collaboratively with the FNHC and FNHDA in regard to sensitive discussions and activities and provide provincial context and input to FNHA flagship engagement events including, but not limited to, Elders Gathering, Gathering our Voices and Gathering Wisdom.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have/be
Education

  • University Degree in a relevant field
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is considered an asset
Experience
  • Recent, relevant and significant experience in First Nations Health (usually acquired over a period of 8 or more years)
  • Experience working with First Nations/Aboriginal people at a community and/or political level including work in the area of community engagement and/or community development and/or health
  • Experience in project and/or events management

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
