Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will help develop and execute digital marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support our mission of providing accessible, affirming mental health care. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing with a strong understanding of SEO, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and design. While this is primarily a remote role, we are prioritizing applicants located in the GTA, who can travel to Durham & Toronto accessible, who are open to occasional in-person content creation (e.g., team photo shoots, event coverage, behind-the-scenes visuals).
We are looking for someone with a keen design eye, and a passion for mental health advocacy. A portfolio showcasing social media design, website content, and ad creatives is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Social Media & Content Creation: Develop and manage content for Instagram, blog posts, newsletters, and other platforms, ensuring alignment with Rainbow Counselling’s brand voice and values.
- SEO & Website Management: Support SEO strategies through keyword research, optimized content, and website updates.
- Email Marketing & Community Engagement: Write and design email campaigns to nurture client relationships and increase engagement.
- Advertising & Promotions: Assist with planning and running digital ad campaigns (Meta, Google Ads) to promote therapy services and resources.
- Campaign Performance & Analytics: Monitor and analyze social media, website, and email performance. Create regular reports and track KPIs to evaluate progress toward goals and provide insights to improve engagement and outreach.
- Analyze Marketing Metrics: Regularly review performance data across platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, SEO tools, etc.) to track progress toward goals, identify trends, and optimize campaigns based on insights.
- Graphic Design & Branding: Create visually appealing graphics for social media, blog posts, and promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Content Creation (Photos & Videos): Capture and edit photo and video content to showcase the team, services, events, and educational messaging. Occasional in-person content creation may be requested (e.g., team photoshoots, behind-the-scenes footage).
- Collaboration & Project Coordination: Work closely with therapists, admin team, and external partners on marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts.
Skills
- Certificate or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, and/or social media management.
- Strong graphic design skills and experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools.
- Experience with Wordpress, SEO strategies, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Strong Understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ affirming care, and mental health advocacy (or willingness to learn).
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a knack for engaging, accessible content.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience handling marketing budgets or ad campaigns is an asset.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
