Job Description:
As a Dental Technician at our denturist clinic in Leduc, you will be responsible for the fabrication and processing of full and partial dentures, removable appliances, and denture repairs. Core tasks include model pouring, final impression tray and bite block fabrication, tooth setups, wax-ups, processing, and finishing. The role also involves digital workflows, including the design and 3D printing of custom trays and other prosthetic components using CAD/CAM technology.
You may occasionally assist with general clinic duties such as phone support, cleaning, and sterilization. Periodic travel to our satellite clinic in Devon (River Valley Denture Clinic) may be required. This position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate complete and partial dentures according to denturist prescriptions
- Set teeth and prepare wax try-ins
- Process, finish, and polish acrylic dentures and removable appliances
- Perform denture relines and repairs as needed
- Pour and trim models from impressions
- Design and fabricate final impression trays using CAD/CAM and 3D printing
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
- Collaborate with denturists to troubleshoot cases and meet production deadlines
Qualifications:
- Dental Technician diploma or equivalent hands-on experience in removable prosthetics
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to interpret denturist prescriptions and anatomical nuances
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a proactive work ethic
