Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to maximize table turnover.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
